Summary of Experience

Bruce commenced with the Luminary Search business as an Associate Partner based in Perth and responsible for recruiting C-level executives, functional, operations and regional heads while maintaining a specific focus developing strong commercial relationships across mining, energy and infrastructure sectors. In December 2008, he assumed the additional role of General Manager for the Professional & Executive business including; Banking, Engineering and Sales & Marketing.

He brings with him 12 years of executive search and selection experience, between 1999 and 2008 as the Western Australia based Director with Robert Walters. During this period the Perth business grew to a twenty consultant practice with specialist divisions covering accounting, banking and financial services, IT and more recently professional business support. This included dedicated accounting and IT contracting teams. Bruce always maintained an active recruiting program himself covering; accounting & finance services, energy & infrastructure, engineering, ITC, mining services, not for profit, sales & marketing, predominantly up to and including C-level roles.

His recruitment career commenced in 1997 with Gerard-Daniels, a specialist Perth-based Executive Search and Selection Firm departing in 1999 as an Associate Director. Bruce worked across a diverse portfolio of clients and undertook numerous national and international assignments.

After completing a bachelor of business double degree (finance and management) Bruce started his career as a financial analyst in the oil and gas industry, followed by business development, sales and operational general management roles in the very competitive car rental and fleet leasing industry in both Australia and across Asia. Key client groups included; multi-national corporates, major travel groups and credit card vendors. Bruce is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Associate of Finsia where he is a regular presenter with their career development programs.
